European User Forum floors Emptoris
There are always some key issues in an industry where remaining independent doesn’t work and participation becomes key. Emptoris, Inc. , a leading provider of enterprise supply and contract management software, is flying high after creating a common ground on supply management. A couple of months back it held first annual European User Forum. The forum enabled customers and partners of Emptoris to discuss about the issues related to initiatives that could widen the spectrum of the existing supply management being practiced. The event took a success kiss with a double-digit growth in supply and contract management solutions in Europe, which registered a participation from 65 executives, practitioners and industry thought leaders in procurement and contract management areas. They discussed about best practices, issues and trends.
The basic focus of the forum was to overcome the hindrances that come about in the technology adoption drive, giving impetus to analysis and communication improvement for bettering performance of supply management initiatives. The initiative has been held high in spirits but how the knowledge sharing actually helps in the longer run is yet to be seen.
The participation was diverse. Customers representing aerospace and defense, agriculture, automotive, chemical, food and beverage, life sciences, petroleum, pharmaceutical, retail, telecommunications hardware and telecommunications services industries uplifted the forum’s importance. Emptoris partners including Accenture, Cap Gemini, IBM and Inter Sources also participated, sharing experiences on driving supply management initiatives with enterprise clients .
